Sexual orientation is the measure of innate sexual attraction regarding biological sex. Identification is whatever label one chooses to apply to oneself for a variety of reasons, including both self-honesty and self-delusion. Fluidity theory is not science. There is ample evidence for the plasticity of female sexuality including orientation and far less evidence in men.

To paraphrase Christopher Ryan regarding monogamy, identifying as a vegetarian may be a good thing with plenty of benefits for the self and the planet, but that doesn’t mean bacon stops smelling good.
