I did not see the mention of increased likelihood of infection, especially for women.
Hot tubs are notorious for bacteria that can cause foliculitis, additional bacteria introduced to the delicate flora balance in a woman’s vagina can lead to some uncomfortable infections. Likewise, ocean water. Soaps and chlorine can, as mentioned, cause dryness, which can lead to micro tears and increase the opportunity for Infection. I recommend water for make out and touching.
